SSAB Domex® 240YP is a hot-rolled structural steel that features consistent quality and excellent engineering properties.
Part of the SSAB Domex range of steels, the SSAB Domex 240YP grade is produced under rigorous quality control. A well-balanced analysis with a fine grain structure produced through thermomechanical rolling creates a steel with first-class mechanical and cold-forming properties.
Together with the steel’s high purity, these properties make for outstanding repeatability, excellent bending and cutting characteristics and a steel that can be welded using all standard methods.
This makes SSAB Domex 240YP the ideal choice when looking for high productivity and high-quality end products. Typical applications include a wide range of fabricated components and steel structures.
SSAB Domex 240YP meets or exceeds the requirements of S235JRC, S235J0C or S235J2C in EN 10025-2, depending on agreed impact strength requirements at the time of order. Upon agreement, it can be delivered double certified and CE marked.
